WINTER YOUTH GRADE
(Years 8 – 10)
New for 2026 – we’re excited to introduce a Winter Youth Grade competition for Year 8–10 players.
Joining our ECB team provides fantastic youth player development opportunities, and is a great way to start a future allegiance with our strong club.
Youth Winter Competition
Youth Grade winter hockey runs throughout Term 2 and is played on Sunday mornings at the National Hockey Centre.
To be eligible for participation in the NHHA Youth Grade Winter Competition, players must be in years 8-10.
Competition Details
- When: Sunday mornings
- Grades: Boys & Girls A & B Grade in each gender (No Mixed Gender Grades).
- 10-week competition, played on Sundays
2026 Youth Trials
- 14–15 March (dates still TBC)
2026 Youth Season Dates
- Season Start: 19 April
- Finals Day: 28 June
- No Play: King’s Birthday Weekend
Please note: Year 8 & 9 players are not eligible to participate in the Senior Club competition for the 2026 season.
Year 8: MUST also play in their school team (in the intermediate competition) to be eligible.
Year 9: WILL NOT be allowed to play in the Senior Club competition.
Year 11: ALLOWED to play in the Youth competition if they are inexperienced and not confident playing in the Senior Club competition (eligibility must first be confirmed with NHHA).
